From a young age Michael Moebius developed a passion for art, particularly cartooning. However, living in communist East Germany meant that practical pursuits took precedence. Thus, he temporarily set art aside to pursue a formal education and embarked on a career in engineering and construction.

While working in architectural illustration, Michael stumbled upon a book showcasing the pin-up art of Alberto Vargas, igniting a new love for figurative art. Determined to make it his life’s work, he enrolled in painting studies at the academy of arts in Dresden. In 1998, following the fall of the Berlin Wall, Michael seized the opportunity to move to the United States.

His exceptional talent as a painter and photographer quickly gained recognition, making him a highly sought-after artist among collectors. Michael has already participated in numerous major exhibitions across the US and boasts an impressive roster of collectors and publishers, including Playboy, Procter & Gamble, Laura Biagiotti, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Robb Report, and other renowned companies.
